WHAT DO WE DO?
The purpose of SONQO – “heart” in quechua – is to bring warmth to the most number of children in the coldest places in Peru.
Every year, freezing temperatures affect the Peruvian Andes. Children living in extreme poverty are amongst the most affected.
Fundraising from direct donations or charity events.
Specially designed jackets, made at cost, to protect from the freezing temperatures.
Jackets are taken to the worst affected areas, personally delivered to each child.
Freezing temperatures in Peru take lives every year, especially children, who are the most vulnerable.
We can do something about it.
With just 50$ you will be keeping warm 5 children. Our thermal jackets help them yearlong.
The donations will be destined to the confection and delivery of thermal jackets for the children.

A little information about us
SONQO was born in 2015 as an initiative from friends, alumni of Markham College, and today it is a formal non-profit organization. Multiple people provide their ad-honorem support as their interest is to use every cent of the donations to help the children that most suffer the cold in peru. Our goal is to produce thermal jackets that are delivered to the children in the communities that need it the most.
Let’s help those who need us the most.
